Dementieva's double loss
Elena Dementieva was not so lucky and was not on her best form today as she lost both her matches today. She bowed down to Maria Sharapova 6-1 6-4 in the quarterfinals of Wimbledon.

Today's match is a testament of how badly Elena needs confidence in her serve. Everyone says that she serves well during practice but she can't bring it in the match. Oh, Elena... if only you would trust your serve and kill your mental demons...

The first set was pretty much a give away. It was so obvious that Elena didn't have any confidence. She was making errors everywhere and can't make any winners. Plus, Maria Sharapova was serving really well and she's whacking Elena's second serve. Well, that's pretty much the story of the match. Elena tried to come back in the second set but it was little too late for her as Sharapova closed out the match at 6-4.

Anyway, you just gotta love Elena. Her press conferences are really never boring and her honesty is awesome. Looking forward to the hardcourt season now. I hope Elena takes her level up and I hope she learned a lot with this quarterfinal run at Wimbledon.

Davai Elena!
