Bad start in Madrid

Elena Dementieva served 15 double faults in her lost to Maria Sharapova in Madrid 1-6 4-6.

It's just sad! I thought Lena could at least take this match in 3 sets. Oh well! Better luck next time I guess. She'll be battling Svetlana Kuznetsova on Wednesday. Their H2H is tied at 3-3 although it was Kuznetsova who won their last encounter at New Haven.

i hope 2007 will be elena's year... as a fan, it's just so frustrating seeing her lose...

she got the talent(err, except for her serve)... she's one of the few female players that i admire and i hope she'll get her maiden slam this 2007 season...
