Dementieva sets QF date with Ivanovic
Ordina Open top seed Elena Dementieva received a scare on her first match in grass when Elena Vesnina stretched the match to 3 sets but Dementieva triumphed 6-1 4-6 6-4. Dementieva will face 5th seed Ana Ivanovic in the QF.
"Tomorrow it will be very important for me to hold my serve,"
Dementieva said. "It's all about holding serve. If you can hold serve, it's
going to be a tie-breaker match."
We all know that Ivanovic has a very good serve so as Elena mentioned in her post-match interview, holding her serve is the key. And if the match comes to a tie-breaker, well, we know what Elena's capable of during tie-breakers. This year, Elena has been in 4 tie-breakers and has never lost any.

Ivanovic and Dementieva's only career meeting was earlier this year at the quarterfinals of the Pacific Life Open. Dementieva proved to be tougher and better as she won the match 2-6 6-4 6-2 despite having 14 double faults. This match will be their first meeting on grass.

Expect that this quarterfinal match will be tough. If Elena serves well, Ivanovic will surely be in big trouble. What worries me is the fact that Dementieva will have an early quarterfinal schedule after finishing late last night with their doubles match. I hope Elena has a lot of energy for today's match.

Davai Elena!

Doubles

Elena Dementieva and Flavia Pennetta defeated Jelena Jankovic and Tina Krizan 6-1 4-6 6-1 to reach the semis of the draw. They will battle against Ana Ivanovic and Maria Kirilenko for a place in the finals. I'm sure that fans will be delighted to see these 2 pairs play tomorrow.

Davai Elena and Flavia!
